Cognizant sees Asia as $1 billion opportunity
Cognizant said Asia would become a $1 billion market for the company in the next few years as it powers ahead with investments in Australia, Japan and plans to look into China. The Teaneck, New Jersey-headquartered company is one of the few large IT companies to provide a public goal for its Asia business. “Asia is the next $1 billion market for us in the next couple of years. We have invested strongly in Australia and Japan in the Asia markets. We are looking into China. I think those will be big markets for us,” Rajeev Mehta, president at Cognizant, said at an investor conference in the US late last week.
